Take Everything, But I Won’t Give Up My Freedom!

They gather around the snow in the sky,
Coloured in different shades of blue and white,
Enveloped within is the yellow light,
Alluring- isn’t it?
Just like the embroidery of nostalgia
As she crawls into the curvature of my ribs,
Altering my memory,
Highlighting the good times
Making me long for a time once loved
And simultaneously dreaded,
Nostalgia focuses on the good
Till the wind blows away the cover clothes.
Back to the middle,
A staycation in the alternate of nostalgia,
Stuck in the room where life pulled the switch,
I have unburdened myself,
Bled tears and forgiveness,
Time after time,
Yet I’m back again,
I search for the brain of this reincarnation,
This room is the core of the dark lens I wear,
The one that restrains me from seeing the yellow light,
I want to see, I want to fly,
Memories are tied to my wings,
I’m stuck,
Forever or a while longer?
But what’s a bird without her wings,
Or a human without love in their heart?
A choice to make,
To desert nostalgia and her alternate, To embody love Till she integrates with me, With the keys of life- I soar.

I have some questions; I need more. (Who are they who gather around the snow in the sky?) I could totally relate to piece. Wrote something similar but more about the pain of lingering emotions and memories. Great work!
They are anyone/anything you want them to be. Oh really, I would love to read that. This piece emanated from something similar. You are highly appreciated, thank you!
